In the Old Testament, God opened the mouth of  a donkey owned by a man called Balaam and used this donkey to speak to Balaam. The story, found in Numbers 22:21-39, speaks (no pun intended) into far more than just how God can use all of creation to speak to us, so please don't think this is trivialising how the Lord works - but there is definitely the encouragement that we can all be used by the Lord.

Often in Psalms and Proverbs, God also speaks about how His wisdom and laws are more precious than 'rubies' - so this is a dual reminder that we are called to treasure His ways. In delighting in His laws, and His wisdom - in Him - we find our true value and worth.
